Lexden Primary School
At Lexden Primary School we aim to provide every child with a stimulating and caring environment where creativity and challenge inspire academic success and individual fulfillment. We work tirelessly to unlock the potential of every child and encourage them to achieve as highly as possible.
Our school is lively and inclusive; we are proud of the wide range of learning opportunities provided for all children, both within the curriculum and through our links to the wider community.
The teaching and staff form a dedicated team fully committed to meeting the needs of our children and we encourage a close partnership with parents/carers to ensure that children develop the social and emotional skills that are required to get the most out of life.
We hope that our prospectus will encourage you to come for a visit and experience for yourselves the energy and enthusiasm which characterises our school.

Nursery Places
Fully Funded Nursery Places (for 3 & 4 Year Olds) Available from September 2023
Further details via the Nursery Class Page
Lexden Primary School benefits from a well-established, thriving 26 place Nursery class led by a qualified Early Year’s teacher.
Offering both full and part time sessions for three and four year olds, Nursery children are taught and cared for in a caring, stimulating and challenging learning environment built around the children’s needs, interests and passions. Our experienced team of Nursery staff work in partnership with parents to nurture children’s wellbeing, enabling them to become confident, resilient and independent learners.
Our Nursery is an important part of the whole school community taking part in special events and themed days such as World Book Day and Science Week.
Parents are able to pay for their sessions via Government funding vouchers (15hr Free Early Years Education Entitlement or 30hr Extended Entitlement) or pay the school directly for additional sessions over their free entitlement. Children who attend whole day sessions are able to book and pay for a nutritious hot school lunch. The school also runs a popular (pre-bookable) Breakfast Club that Nursery children are welcome to attend dependent upon availability.
To register your interest in a Nursery place, please complete a ‘Nursery Place Registration of Interest Form’ (downloadable from the Nursery Class page above or via the school office) and return it to school FAO of Charmaine Scott.
We look forward to meeting you and your family very soon.
